Connecting the future of gaming to the mass market
The client: A collaborative venture between mobile phone giant HTC and gaming titan VALVE, Vive was a groundbreaking entry into the home VR space.
The ask: The challenge was simple — introduce the present to this artifact from the future.
The work
The process started with an exhaustive naming exercise that gave us the keystone of the identity and the heart of the brand ecosystem.
The logo recalls a portal and evokes the spirit of discovery, exploration, and wonder that experiencing VIVE brings users.
Once the brand identity was established, we built out a series of launch videos designed to capture the imagination while introducing people to the possibilities of VIVE.
